Touchdown Gbagada

On 22nd May 2020, we kicked off the second phase of our Foodbank Alliance hunger intervention program in Gbagada, Lagos.

Admittedly, with the ease of the statewide lockdown, the scene this time around was less dire, the crowds relatively smaller, but the necessity of the food bank initiative remained indisputable as ever.

The food bank once again was a success, due in no small part to our incredible volunteers and the community in organizing itself.

The numbers are in and here’s how we did in Gbagada:

Children 220, Women 220, Men 110

Tally: 550 people.

We look forward to evolving more and more ways by which the Foodbank Alliance initiative can serve communities that need it the most.
